Soulmate, what the hell is the meaning of it

Pernah denger duong kata "soulmate" (basa sundana: omet). Menurut wikipedia, pengertian soulmate adalah 1) a term sometimes used to designate someone with whom one has a feeling of deep affinity, friendship, love, strong intimacy or compatibility, 2) people with whom one has made a connection, 3) a popular romantic belief that there is only one true soulmate. Pertanyaannya mah simpel, tapi buat ngebales message itu si gue ngabisin waktu yang lumayan buat mikir n merenung.

Okeh, balik ka si omet, kalo kita telaah pengertian omet menurut wikipedia, kira-kira pengertian omet itu adalah seseorang temen kita berbagi perasaan (cinta, persahabatan, dan sejenisnya). Seseorang yang "nyambung". Omet di sini bisa pacar, temen, ortu, atau pasangan idup kita. Si gue gak akan ngasih pengertian lain, soalnya menurut si gue definisi omet versi wikipedia itu udah mewakili apa yang kira-kira si gue ngerti ttg omet ini. Tapi si gue disini mau ngajak jij ngerenung lebih jauh lagi, n at the end of the day, I want all of you to ask your selves: "Have you (ever) found your soulmate?".

Well, u see fren, I have to go all the way back to years behind, and asked my self the same question: "Have I (ever) found my soulmate?". Untuk ngejawap pertanyaan itu si gue nyoba keras nginget-nginget lagi semua orang yang bisa masuk kategori "kandidat" soulmate si gue. Kriterianya? 1) Yang nyambung --meaning si gue bisa freely bicara tentang apa aja dengan dia tanpa takut n malu. 2) Someone yang kita bahkan gak perlu ngomong (pake kata-kata verbal) untuk ngasih tau what's in my mind and bisa tau what's in his/her mind. 3) Someone yang kita bisa ngabisin waktu berjam-jam "cuma" untuk ngediskusiin hal-hal yg gak penting n saling adu argumen (kadang saking sumangetnya sampe popolotot n tutunjuk), n at the end of the discussion kita masih teuteup jadi the best of friends, no hard feelings, and jadi makin pinter n dewasa. Okeh, so si gue mulai nginget-nginget balad, urut kabogoh, kabogoh, calon kabogoh (hehe) si gue...

Hasilna? Gak ada! Si gue juga syok sendre euy! Gilo leh! Ternyata selama umur si gue nu geus kaasup "menuai padi" ieu si Gue can pernah ngabogaan omet! Gak percaya ama hasil kalkulasi tadi, si gue nginget-nginget n nimbang-nimbang sakali deui.... Angger euwueh! Sedih rasana euy... Kalopun ada yang "nyaris" menuhin ke 3 kriteria di atas, cuma someone from my past, which I pray to God has a happy, better life now with her hubby n children. A girl from a decade ago. Yes Wirda, I remember you. I remember everything about you. Things we used to do, things we used to have. Dia ini fren, yang menurut si gue paling mendekati kriteria yang pantes disebut omet si gue. Percaya nggak fren, si gue n this special one bisa saling tau apa yang mau diomongin tanpa harus ngomong, bisa saling tau apa yang dirasain tanpa harus nanya, sometimes bisa tau kalo salah satu lagi susah hati ato lagi sedih tanpa harus ketemu. Kita biasa diskusi bout many ordinary things (ya kadang sampe popolotot juga) tanpa saling ngerasa sakit hati atouw "dikalahkan n mengalahkan". Kanggo Neng Lia kabogoh si gue sekarang, maap ya hun kalo kebeneran baca ini, ga ada maksud buat ngungkit-ngungkit the past, let the begone begone. Si gue yakin bener, there's always a soulmate for every soul in this world. Well in my case, either I have NOT find one, or I HAD IT once and gone.

It's funny that sometimes you find yourself wondering about wot u got in life. And wot I got? Well, nothing actually. I found myself has been a total mess up since we lost our mother (pray for you all the time Mom, may God bless your soul in heaven). Hayya... wot's this? Sorry, gue ngacapruk lagi ya?
